WHISTLER, B.C. February 10, 2015 – WNORTH is a one-day, outcome-based destination conference for women taking place in Whistler, British Columbia on March 6, 2015.
Set at the host resort of the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, the conference will provide an accessible forum and networking hub for women on the rise. Meredith Powell, Co-Founder & Executive Director of the Next Big Thing Foundation: Prior to co-founding The Next Big Thing Foundation, Meredith was in Los Angeles launching the world’s largest B2B ecomm fashion wholesale platform for Advanstar Global and she has founded three agencies in the fashion space. At WNORTH, Meredith will address how technology is changing the opportunity for women to rise to the top.
Powell says, “The technology sector is known as a male-dominated industry, but there’s a growing number of women in leadership positions who share my passion for paving the ways for others. Jill Earthy, Director BC & Yukon Futurpreneur: A leading voice for women in business, Jill was the CEO of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FWE), a non-profit organization educating, mentoring and energizing female entrepreneurs. She is now leading a new project that will create an online identity and space for “board ready” women. Jill will be a WNORTH speaker and moderator for the “Board Games” panel.
