Global Gathering of Women on the Rise will Highlight Authenticity, Image and Power

Female Leaders Return to Whistler Mountain Resort Spring 2017

For Immediate Release – WHISTLER, B.C. September 7, 2016 – The WNORTH Conference, is a boutique-style conference focused on providing a forum for women who are aiming for, or already on, a senior executive leadership track. The 3rd annual Conference is set to return to the Nita Lake Lodge in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada, April 19 -21, 2017.

WNORTH Founder, Heather Odendaal announced that this year’s conference theme will highlight the relationship between Authenticity, Image and Power.  She revealed the first four speakers at the annual event in the spring, will include Amy Stanton, Esther Ayorinde, Dan Pontefract and Elizabeth Cronise McLaughlin.

Amy Stanton is the CEO of Stanton and Company and former SVP Chief Marketing Officer at Martha Stewart Living.  Stanton’s L.A. based Marketing and PR agency works to promote positive female role models for women while also representing a roster of philosophy-driven brands.

Stanton is excited to be venturing to Whistler next spring. “The WNORTH Conference is serving an important group of motivated and passionate women and I’m thrilled to be speaking this year. Now, more than ever is an opportunity for women to support, inspire and uplift other women and this event is doing just that” says Stanton.

Also speaking, Esther Ayorinde, a woman on the rise at one of the world’s largest tech companies. Ayorinde is the Client Executive leading the Facebook account at Cisco-based in San Jose, California Dan Pontefract, a Canadian HR leader at TELUS, a top telecommunication company and renowned author. Pontefract is the Chief Envisioner at TELUS and is recognized for introducing a new leadership framework, the TELUS Leadership Philosophy that has dramatically increased the company’s employee engagement to record levels.

2017 will also see the return of a popular keynote speaker from the 2016 WNORTH Conference, Elizabeth Cronise McLaughlin, former Wall-Street Lawyer and high-powered executive leadership coach for women.  Cronise McLaughlin introduced her Nine Point Pivot Wheel for Women’s Leadership at last year’s conference and will share more from her breadth of knowledge on the subject of new paradigm women’s leadership with the female leaders in attendance.

Odendaal also announced a 2 year presenting sponsorship with PwC Canada.  “PwC is a global leader and champion for women and we are excited to align with them for the 2017 & 2018 WNORTH Conferences in Whistler”.  Other leading sponsorships include McQuarrie Hunter LLP, the official law firm of WNORTH and Business Events Canada, a division of the Canadian Tourism Commission that will bring some of the US-based speakers to Whistler for the Conference.

The WNORTH Conference presented by PwC will take place at the Nita Lake Lodge in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada from April 19-21, 2017.

Conference Registration is now open.  The Conference pass includes two days of keynote addresses, talks, and workshops, unique special events and meals including the Opening Reception presented by PwC, the West Coast Lunch at Aura Restaurant on Thursday, the Connected Breakfast and a light lunch on Friday.  A new addition to the conference pass this year is a ticket to the Scandinave Spa Social Evening Event that will take place on Thursday evening.
