Director of Brand and Communication, SheEO
A graduate of McGill University and the London School of Economics, Katie has spent the last 10+ years working in strategic communications, event management, and creative services across a wide spectrum of experiences – from political campaigns, to outdoor music festivals to high end galas. She has worked in small agencies based in Vancouver, and for media teams with a global reach. She’s traveled with the Olympic torch and hand-folded origami, stocked Drake’s green room, and written speeches for senior executives. The result? A unique mix of right-brain creative vision and left-brain logic.
A seasoned event producer and communications strategist, Katie has been at the core of developing and leading creative projects both locally and internationally for over 10 years with notable clients such as TED Conferences LLC, Genentech, Electronic Arts, the Squamish Valley Music Festival, the Canadian Academy of Arts and Sciences (The JUNO Awards), the Sarah McLachlan School of Music, The City of Vancouver, Farmers Insurance, the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, and Fuji Xerox NZ.
Currently leading the Brand and Communication portfolio at SheEO, a global initiative designed to radically transform how we support, finance and celebrate female entrepreneurs, Katie is committed to elevating a new style of female leadership through authentic storytelling and a disruptive business model.
